The top of the crown has a ventilation mesh band for cooling. The spiral-stitched foam core brim is 2.75 inches long on the front and sides and 3.5 inches on the back, which helps keep the hat afloat on water. A rear cord on the side band with a lock adjusts hat size. This hat even has a chin strap with a cord lock that holds hat in place when it gets windy.
