ATLANTIC COAST
Fundacao O Boticario Research Facility at Guaraque-aba
At Salto Morato, Fundacao O Boticario has a research facility and dorms for 20+ and a private lodge for 6 in double rooms. There is also a kitchen and dining area. Guaraque-aba is Brazil's first Parks in Peril site, as well as the first site in Brazil where carbon sequestration will be used to finance forest protection and regeneration.
AMAZON
Acajatuba Jungle Lodge
Acajatuba Jungle Lodge is located on the Acajatuba River bank, in the heart of Amazon, approximately 35 miles west of Manaus. A three hour boat trip passing by "The Meeting of Waters" (where the dark waters of Negro River meet the clear waters of Solim>es River) with two daily departures will get you from Manaus to the lodge. The lodge was built using native materials (wood and palm leaves) following the regional style. The facility has a common area with reception and 30 apartments with private baths around it, a restaurant with regional and international cuisine and a bar. The Acajatuba Jungle Lodge offers special group trips from 1 to 3 nights.
Amazon Lodge
The Amazon Lodge from Manaus by car and boat is the nearest place to view the birds and wildlife of the rainforest.
Ariau Amazon Tower Hotel
This Amazonian jungle hotel is located 35 miles up river from Manaus (a thousand miles up the Amazon River) on the banks of the Ariaoe River. From Manaus you catch a River boat that will take you to the only tree-top lodge in the heart of the Amazon. Accommodations are basic, however, they offer a very unique experience. The rooms, restaurant and bar are housed on the trees, offering extraordinary panoramic views. Activities include motorized canoe trips with multilingual guides, jungle hikes, pirhana fishing, bird watching, and alligator spotting.
Hyacinth Valley Camp
The Camp is run by the BioBrazil Foundation, a non-profit environmental organization, that protects the Hyacinth Macaw through innovative ecotourism and the incorporation of former trappers into the overall conservation strategy. BioBrasil has erected new facilities at the existing camp of Hyacinth Valley and construct a new lodge15 miles away aptly named Hyacinth Cliffs after the breathtaking views of the red-mesa cliffs surrounding the camp. From the Hyacinth Cliffs Camp excursions include searching for South American Rheas, Hyacinth, Blue-and-Gold, Green-wing, and Red-bellied Macaws. Approximately 15 minutes out of camp is a custom-built photo blind large enough for 18 people, with 10 front row seats. The blind, overlooking a feeding spot for a large flock of Hyacinth Macaws,

The region is one of the world's richest natural reserve and a migratory stopover for ibus, ducks, storks, herons, egrets and many other species. There over 300 species of birds. The property comprises of one main lodge and four additional lodges strategically located in different points of the ranch with its own infrastructure and style. It offers graciously decorated rooms with air conditioning, swimming pool, and excellent regional and international cuisine.

Kolibri Expeditons
Kolibri Expeditons based in Lima, Peru has low budget birding trips to all corners of South America. All trips are off the beaten track to search for endemics and specialties of the particular area. There is usually a bias on quality of unique birds rather than overall numbers. The trips are hard-core. You need to be fairly fit as there may be walks for some exclusive endemics involved. You need also be prepared for less comfortable lodging in rural areas and in some cases camping. However, most of the time in these areas instead of putting up tents, they will use roadside restaurants which let us put our mattresses on the floor.
